Team / Division Description
Toyota Technical Center (R&D) in Europe is responsible for the design & styling, planning, development and production of attractive, superior quality cars matching European market requirements.
Within our R&D organisation, Vehicle Design division plays a key role in the early design and styling development of our future models. The role of the Design team is to join the initial sketches and design with production through the creative use of 3D modeling software.
You will be part of a team that is the link between design and engineering.
You will work closely together with designers and engineers by:
. Translating designers’ 2D sketches, verbal directions and rough alias models into a 3D volume with
the same creative flair
. Creating class A surface data for exterior and interior models
. Creating digital CAD models from initial concept phase to production ready CAD data, for release to
Engineering
. Working with clay scan data and engineering sections
. Identifying, analysing and resolving potential feasibility issues
. Delivering high quality Class A surface while respecting timing and efficiency
Your Profile:
. Bachelor’s degree in digital or industrial design
. Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working with Alias
. Very good knowledge of automotive industry including current trends
. Proven ability to develop high quality Class A surface
. CAD design experience
. Good project management skills
. Fluent in English
. Icem surf/Catia knowledge preferred
. Skilled in different types of visualization/animation SW’s preferred
. Knowledge of Microsoft Office
. Excellent skills in ALIAS
